If anyone has done this before (Bernard please again!) could you suggest the effective ways of integrating this maths library in moodle to allow interaction between learners and moodle? To achieve some simple user interaction I think it would need user data entry via browser to pass the input data to mySQL and jpgraph PHP library for processing and finally graphical generation. I hope next to work out how to integrate jpgraph in moodle. By the way, jpgraph can be free, depending on the usage conditions. It seems to me at this stage from reading the available information on the websites jpGraph could meet most of the above selection criteria. I was surprised when I followed through jpGraph websites by its application flexibility and on-the-fly features. Description It can plot an equation where x and y are related somehow (not just y.), like these: Examples: x2+y29 (an equation of a circle with a radius of 3) sin (x)+cos (y)0. A graphing calculator can be used to graph functions, solve equations, identify function properties, and perform tasks with variables. I have no idea how easy it is to integrate them in moodle for online interaction. To some extent, I only need a fraction of the product features. I have come down to the choice of jpgraph for the following reasons:īoth Maple and Mathematica are top range products and expensive. Vismes online graph maker makes data visualization easy with 20+ graph types, easy data import and powerful customization. The information about how r changes with can then be used to sketch the graph of the equation in the cartesian plane. Enter the title, horizontal axis and vertical axis labels of the graph. This will give a way to visualize how r changes with. I have looked into the options you provided and considered the pros and cons of those options. To sketch a polar curve, first step is to sketch the graph of rf () as if they are x,y variables. ![]() Thanks to Ger, Bernard and Mark for your quick response to my question.
